Good Economics for Hard Times
by Abhijit V. Banerjee, Esther Duflo
I've been following several economists ever since I started listening to Freakonomics podcast. I added this book to my reading list when Abhijit and Ester got Nobel Prize last year.
This is a huge book in terms of content, covers anything from poverty in developing nations to politics in the USA. They are not pretending that their recommendations are the ultimate solution.
At a time when decisions are made for short term benefits and to get political mileage, books like these are definite reads to improve critical thinking.

This book is more of a long essay, documenting different approached of investing and a short biography of Benjamin Graham.
