Two weeks back SMC released an updated version of Indic Keyboard with Material design and several other improvements. Major changes include, word suggestion for Transliteration, several new layouts and languages, making it to 23 languages and 54! layouts.
Now I can say without any doubt, that Indic Keyboard supprts more Indian languages than any other keyboard available on the Google Play Store. And maybe the only Free and Open Source one in that.
Since the project is now in a stable state, I might be taking a step back and may not be actively contributing new features. For the last few years, I have been working only on this project, now I feel like I'm little bit away from Free Software projects (Free as in Freedom), and other personal project ideas. I think it's time to move on. We have new contributors, especially Anoop, who may be able to maintain the project better than I do. He recently fixed an important bug in 2.0 version. So project is surely in safe hands.
Latest version, 2.0.2 is available in Google Play and FDroid.
